Glim Kickstarter Video
A Kickstarter promotional video for the fantasy board game Glim, created by Blair Witch Project creators Eduardo Sanchez and Gregg Hale.
The Challenge
The game existed only as a concept, requiring a high-quality depiction of what backers would receive. Since Glim is a fantasy strategy game that takes place in a mythical fairy world, the visualizations needed a mystical quality that would transport potential backers into its universe.
Approach
Working with 3D models provided by the Glim team alongside custom-modeled elements, I utilized textures from the Grayscalegorilla Plus library and Trapcode particle simulations in After Effects to create mystical reveal effects. The result: finished renders that bring a sense of dynamism to the gameplay, with particle effects that reveal game pieces with theatrical flair.
